7 Beauty Product Names That Make You Want To Buy (Even If You Don't Know What The Product Actually Is)

Blog Title: 7 Beauty Product Names That Make You Want To Buy

Ever bought a beauty product sheerly because you love the name? Seriously, you're holding a product in your hand, no idea what it is, where to use it. Wipe it? Smudge it? Dab?

Who cares? It's all in the name.

This list of beauty products met a highly sophisticated criterion: Would I buy this product based on the name? Only the name. Even if I don't know what the product is actually for.

1.Unicorn Tears by Too Faced

Safe to assume that even if you didn't see the Unicorn Tears shade of lipstick, it's likely a shade that some might find more appropriate for my eight-year-old.

Then again, when have I cared about being appropriate when it comes to beauty products? See ris·qué products below.

Besides, who wouldn't want to know what Unicorn Tears actually look like? ANd then put them on your lips?

2. Fresh Breasts by Fresh Body

Boob sweat. It's a thing. And it's annoying.

So why not stay cool & dry with Fresh Breasts "Antiperspirant Liquid Chafing Powder" or lotion?

Can you really say you're not even a little curious?

3. Heart and Coal by OPI

OPI is famous for its unique nail polish names. In one of my former lives, I was a nail technician, and it's always interesting to connect the person with their polish color name.

Some of my favorite OPI colors:

  • Cajun Shrimp (a spicy red hue)

  • Lincoln Park After Dark (as a midwesterner, I was a huge fan of OPI's 2005 Chicago Collection)

  • Taupe-less Beach (because, why not?)

  • Strawberry Margarita (summer party in a bottle of nail polish)

  • And the classic: I'm Not Really a Waitress (best red nail polish ever!)

My current fav? Heart and Coal

This name (and color) speak to me on a soul level.

4. Get It On Body Wash By Plant Apothecary

They've been featured on goop and VOGUE.

USDA organic.

Eco-friendly.

PLANT Apothecary "sets the standard" in so many business areas: from sustainability and certified organics to social responsibility. This is definitely a brand to watch when it comes to purpose-driven businesses.

Plus, Get It On Body Wash... need I say more?

5. Sexy Mother Pucker by soap & Glory

This is the Judy Blume of lipsticks. If you ever hid Judy Blume's books from your mom... Sexy Mother Pucker is THAT beauty product.

The beauty product that makes you feel a little naughty in your early teens.

It's the hide-it-from-mom (unsuccessfully). Instead, mom raises an eyebrow, shakes her head, and lets me keep...

Despite the scandalous name.

6. Good Genes by sunday Riley

Even if you think you have good genes... who doesn't want gooder, Good Genes?

Good Genes was the Instagram-Made-Me-Buy-It beauty product of 2016.

It's a lactic acid treatment that many influencers swear actually works.

Plus, the company focuses on cruelty-free skincare, sustainability, and giggle-like-a-school-girl product names.

7. Bless this Mess by anese

Who hasn't looked in the mirror and wished for a spiritual awakening of the hair?

Bless this Mess is a hydrating body & hair elixir that promises to rid you of your sins like a weekly confession.

The holy puns are endless here.

Need more beauty product name inspiration? anese is another company famous for its side-splitting humor: Hold my drink scrub. Swipe right moisturizer. License to chill stress mask. And these are the more "appropriate" names.

Check out their website for other product names I wasn't willing to share on a blog post...

Doesn't mean I haven't bought them!
